We believe that a child’s first school experience should build on their natural curiosity. A child’s first “teacher” is the world around them. Mi Casita provides a safe space where children always feel that their experiences and feelings matter, and that they live in a community of supportive others. Our school philosophy foregrounds the environment and the community, helping children find their place within them.

It is just as important to us that your child feels safe and supported as a learner as it is that they be able to identify shapes, colors, and numbers in our classroom. Without that supported feeling, children are not free to explore their world, take risks, and learn.
